Context: I want to use this solution on an image of a product, where the content immediately following the image is the product name, which will be read by the screen reader because it's live text. I want both the image and the text to drive to the product webpage, but I don't want the screen reader to be redundant.
Worked great with the dagger symbol. You have to tweak the values depending on your font family, size, etc. I ended up with:
This still works for me but not on all tag types. Works well on tds. Make se sure Outlook.com supports whatever css you are using
