Get Certified with Litmus Live Workshops

Litmus Live Workshops give designers, developers, and marketers the skills they need to grow their careers. Through monthly workshops and practical, hands-on projects, email professionals can work towards becoming a Litmus-certified email designer or marketer.

How do Litmus Live Workshops work?

Every month, we're hosting longer, more in-depth online workshops for email marketers and designers. Each track will include 2 hours of live sessions and discussion along with additional learning resources. And, new for 2020, you'll be able to work towards becoming a Litmus-certified email marketer or designer in August and September.



To help ensure participation, Litmus Live Workshops and Certification are paid.



How does certification work?



Litmus Certification builds on what you learn in the workshops but takes it further through more involved practical projects and online testing reviewed by the Litmus team. Participants will use August to review materials, submit projects, and take exams. Certifications will be issued in September and celebrated during Litmus Live Week.



Students seeking certification should attend the workshops in May, June, and July. In August, students will be assigned a mix of practical projects and online testing, which will then be reviewed by the Litmus team.



Each certification costs $450 USD.



Litmus-Certified Email Marketers will be required to show their proficiency in email marketing strategy and campaign analysis. By attending three marketing-focused workshops and completing a practical project in August, you'll have earned the title of being a Litmus-Certified Email Marketer, with a big recognition at the close of Litmus Live Week in September.

Building Interactive Emails with HTML, CSS, and AMP for Email

Subscribers increasingly expect more dynamic, interactive experiences online—including in email. Fortunately, creating interactive email campaigns has never been easier, whether it’s using HTML and CSS or Google’s AMP for Email. This month’s workshop is a crash course in the fundamentals of interactive emails, with a look at the necessary HTML and CSS used for common interactive elements, how to build AMP-based emails, and create fallbacks for older email clients.

To adapt an old adage, “There’s no ‘i’ in the making of an email campaign.” Whatever your team structure, size, or company goals, email marketing is a collaborative process between marketing and other internal teams, and we can all be a bit more efficient when it comes to working with our stakeholders. July’s workshop is all about examples, tips, tricks, and a few “what not to do” moments on collaboration tools, meetings and brainstorming sessions, email building and flow, QA, approvals, and follow-ups, with real-life examples sourced from the email marketing community.

Using Email Design Systems

The days of the single-use, copy and paste email template are quickly coming to a close. Email developers now need to worry about creating modular, component-based templates to enable quicker campaign creation while keeping dozens—if not hundreds—of emails on-brand. Email design systems currently offer the best solution to scaling email development, which is why this month’s workshop is all about digging into the nuts and bolts of design systems for email, including what should make it into your email design system, how to document usage, and how to advocate for its use.
