Litmus Live Code of Conduct
The Litmus Live Code of Conduct is designed to promote a safe environment for all conference attendees, speakers, staff, and volunteers. All participants are expected to follow the Code of Conduct.
Litmus is dedicated to creating a friendly, inclusive, and professional community. We expect all conference attendees to respect one another and contribute to that community in a positive way.
We’re all humans and all deserve the same courtesy that you would expect from others, regardless of race, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or physical appearance.
Keep things civil and respectful and we’ll do the same.
Litmus Live was originally conceived to help grow a positive and welcoming community within the email industry. It is our goal to make the conference a safe space for all involved. As such, Litmus will not tolerate discrimination or harassment from participants at the conference, whether those participants are attendees, speakers, staff, or volunteers.
Harassment includes offensive verbal remarks related to race, age, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, physical appearance, body size, ethnicity, religion or creed, veteran status, citizenship, economic status, or any other attribute which can be used to discriminate against an individual or group of people. Harassment also includes displaying sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, inappropriate or unapproved photography or recording of others, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate or unwanted physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Keep in mind that this list is not exhaustive and conference staff has the final say in determining what is deemed harassment or inappropriate behavior.
Any participants asked to stop harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Conference staff may take any action they deem appropriate towards an offending participant, including warning the offender, expelling them from the conference without refund, or contacting local law enforcement.
If you are being harassed or feel unsafe or uncomfortable in any way, please contact conference staff immediately. We’ll be at all conference events and can be identified by the badges around our necks. You can also email us at email@example.com.
If, for any reason, you do not feel comfortable contacting us in person, you can submit a report of the incident or behavior using this online form. We respect your privacy, so you can leave out your personal details if you would like to remain anonymous.
We want all participants to feel safe, so we’re happy to accompany anyone facing harassment during the event or facilitate communications with hotel/venue security or local law enforcement. Just ask us, and we’ll help in any way we can.
