Subject Line Disappearing in Yahoo!

This is an old thread, but wondering if people are still seeing this issue. Our team found the issue to be related to the subject line character limit. So we instituted a rule (probably around the time of this post) that subject lines cannot be greater than 80 characters. I can't find anything online that corroborates this info and wondering if we can eliminate this rule.

Yes Even we are facing a similar problem that Yahoo is automatically stripping of the subject in case of some special chars.
But I am unable to replicate this .. subject appears blank for some mail box while it appears perfectly fine for others.

I am seeing intermittent blank subject lines in Yahoo, anyone else seeing this?

We're running into a similar issue where it is dropping words when we paste subject lines from our working Google Doc. I've been dropping all the SLs into notepad before adding to our ESP but I just had it happen a second time. Unicode tools aren't detecting any issues in the characters but something is up with Yahoo.
