Mitigating Client Email Issues
I am an email specialist for a large ad agency in the Midwest and I have a plethora of clients with different levels of education around email marketing.
I cam across an issue recently, where I was designing emails in a client's ESP Pardot and I ran the design through Litmus, and tested everything possible to make sure it functioned and looked great. What happened was a client is using 2010 Outlook as their ESP and the deisgn did not match what was in Litmus. The client came back and was very displeased, and we had her send us both a screenshot and a forwarded the email for us to look at her code. Nothing was wrong in the backend.
I know that Outlook can look at heavily designed emails as Word documents, but am wondering if there's any other ideas of what might have happened?
