Web.de & GMX.de Have the same engine
Mornin litmus community,
back in early 2017 I've noticed that web.de and gmx.de always have the same error's when it comes down to email development. After comparing code and how bugs appear in the Web & App (source code; [Crtl] + [u]) version I can say that they use the same engine.
Also both "Portals" have the same CEO (Imprint) and belong to 1&1. This maybe is a hint that 1&1 emails run the same way but I have to test that one. Thats why I only test Web.de and no longer GMX. NOTE: web.de & gmx.de are mainly for german users.

Web.de, gmx(.de/.at/.ch) and 1&1 are all subsidiaries of United Internet. As is mail.com.
They not only share the same rendering engine but also the same blacklists, complaint thresholds, etc.
United Internet also owns TrustedDialog, a whitelisting service of the major german email providers. Only TrustedDialog customers can use video content in mails sent to the participating providers.
