Help with Importing Video Into an Outlook HTML Template
Hi,
I am experiening problems importing a video into an Outlook html email file. When I save the html file with the video embeded into the code, the video will play on the html editor but not on the Outlook email. In fact, it looks like the code disappears and there is nothing there for the Outlook email.
Any ideas?
Leigh
James Hi, The 95% number comes from analysis of 1 million video email sent during September 2017. Clearly this number may vary depending on the makeup of your list (% of outlook domains being a key determinant), but also bear in mind Video works fine for outlook when viewed on Mobile, where as you'll appreciate an increasing majority view their emails. The study results of the 1 million emails referred to above can be read in full here: https://playable.video/project/why-embedding-video-in-email-is-better-than-adding-a-gif/
Mornin,
outlook dont suport videos in Email, for that u need a video Fallback solution. This gona be a image wich links to the video like on youtube or your company server.

Leigh Hi, I concur with Vadim, Video is not supported by Outlook on desktop, only on mobile. Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016 for Windows all do not support Video. The good news is that you can reach 95% of your audience with video which plays at the moment of opening, with the Outlook desktop recipients seeing a static image and appropriate call to action to view the hosted video on line. We've built a platform here at Playable to make the embedding of video in email really simple, the solution works with all video formats and files and your campaigns can be sent using any of the popular ESP's. You can check out how it works and see some sample campaigns here: https://playable.video
Where are you getting this number from? Considering video doesn't work in the Outlook desktop client, your 95% figure doesn't sound accurate.
