I am curious if anybody either currently uses, or knows of, an "add to calendar" link for an estimated delivery date in their ship confirm emails.

One of our developers where I work got an email ship confirm from Amazon where it was prompting them to view the calendar event in Outlook and they want to add similar functionality to our emails.

Currently our ship confirms have the standard track your package link. Personally I would think that would be much more valuable to continue to check that (that's what I do) vs putting an estimated delivery date on a calendar but that's just me.

Everything I've read involves more of manually creating a specific event in that calendar and then providing a link within the email. I have not come across much on how to use it within a ship confirm email.

Does anybody have thoughts on this matter?
