Hi all -

We’ve produced hundreds of English language emails before, but for one of our clients we’re in the process of producing and then sending out either a purely Welsh or English language email programme based upon user preference at sign-up. These will be B2C / consumer emails.

Looking for a little guidance please as we’ve not produced Welsh language emails before. The text will be translated from English to Welsh for us, but are we right to have any concerns that pure Welsh language emails might be marked as spam by various email providers (gmail, yahoo etc) as they might not necessarily (and incorrectly) recognise any of the text.

Obviously Welsh language is incredibly important, but wonder how much it’s been a consideration for companies when designing their spam profiles / filters etc, as it simply doesn't have the volume of native speakers that other langauges might.

Does anyone have any experience in this area?

Many thanks
Stef
