What email resources do you want to see from Litmus in 2017?
Happy new year, email geeks!
We've begun the process of reflecting upon what worked and what didn't for 2016. We've thought about our content and what resonates with you all, but what better way to help out the email community than asking you all what you really want to see from us?
And while we've started to reflect on our top posts, discussions, and inspiration from the Email Design Conference this year, we want to know:
What do you want to see from us next?
(Please note: this thread should be used to discuss content, research, blog posts, downloads, infographics, etc. If you have product suggestions or feedback, please email us at hello@litmus.com.)
I wish Litmus keeps producing great content : podcasts, conferences, blog posts.
But the one thing I'd really like to get is an update on the Microsoft partnership. It's been six months since it was announced, and it feels like nothing happened. I submitted a few bugs when it was announced, and I know a lot of email geeks did as well. And nothing happened. I know fixing Outlook is not something we should expect in a short span. And I suppose you probably have a lot of NDAs with Microsoft so you probably can't tell everything you'd want to. But it'd be great to at least have a few news of where this is going and what we should expect.
Hi Rémi, thanks for the feedback! We definitely owe everyone an update on the Microsoft partnership, and that's coming early in 2017. Stuff has been happening behind the scenes (some of it's quite exciting!). As you suspected, there are lots of factors involved, and we're in the process of determining the best way to respect Microsoft's processes for testing and releasing product updates while simultaneously bringing all the email geeks up to speed. We appreciate your patience and can't wait to share more soon.
I would love to see https://emailclientmarketshare.com/ per country and some kind of updated version of https://www.campaignmonitor.com/css/. Podcast, this community and the in-depth blog articles are great!
One of my favorite things from LitmusLive16 was talking to other email geeks about their team's workflow. In fact, several of the presenters this year shared details about their timelines, processes, and tools they use. I always find this helpful as it makes me question why I do things the way I do, and often introduces me to a better way of doing things.
ReallyGoodEmails' newsletter occasionally has a "Lessons learned from ..." feature, where they would interview an email professional to learn about their experience and processes. I would enjoy a similar series from Litmus, focused on processes, workflow, and tools.
