Best place to find photography for emails?
Hey y'all. We just finished up an interview with Stocksy and wanted to see where else email geeks source images. In-house photographer, stock website, ripped off from the web (and hoping that someone won't catch you)? We don't judge.
Am I a hipster if I say I like most of the stuff on Unsplash? Haven't used any of it yet in my own emails, but could see their photographs being useful for a lot of different senders.
LOVE Unsplash. I've only used their stock photos in manipulations. I haven't used stock photography other than that.
I like Unsplash too, but far too many of their photos have awful Instagram style filters on them. Makes those particular photos useless to me. Normally what I need is a good nature shot, and many of those are very nice.
Don't steal things, you'll end up in trouble(Sooner or later if you're doing a good job at marketing << That's the important part!)
In terms of stock photos I stick with the big guys like:
www.shutterstock.com
http://www.istockphoto.com
+1 though, good question!
since we use adobe cc we added adobe stock as well
Mostly use istockphoto, but we also use unsplash or pixabay now and then. Then of course if we have a conference somewhere, the visitor's bureau often has free ones they allow people to use.
