Complete This Statement: “2017 will be the year of ______.”
It's prediction season and we want to know what you think will be big in the world of email marketing next year. So complete this statement: “2017 will be the year of ________." And perhaps explain a little bit about why you think that will be the case.
That maybe, just maybe that on the heels of Google and Gmail making a big step forward in the email development world, Microsoft and Outlook will follow suite.
I have hope that the recent established partnership between Litmus and Microsoft will lead to my Lumia 950 XL and other Windows 10 devices actually being able to have something I could actually call an "email experience" along with actually being able to see what a mobile optimised email campaign looks like on a Windows device (its a rare sight, trust me)! I think it fair to say the Outlook clients prior to 2016 and Windows 10 are stuck where they are, but Outlook Mail can do a Gmail and have the Word engine radically overhauled. Think about it, the Word engine supporting CSS3?! I'd take that as an early Christmas present or New Years resolution any day!
To complete the statement:
“2017 will be the year of Outlook Mail".
Don't let me down Microsoft!
2017 will be the year of Outlook's resurgence? We're certainly trying to do our part to improve rendering and code support at Microsoft. Please keep all the suggested improvements coming >> https://litmus.com/microsoft-partnership
2017 will be the year of email automation.
OK, automation was here already, but what I've noticed is how fast it is improving.
Not only in the sense that you have so much options you can do for segmentation in ways we never thought were possible 3-5 years ago. But in terms of availability of that same powerful automation options to smaller businesses and bloggers.
ESPs with focus on email automation are growing pretty fast, which means more affordable prices to the masses. Suddenly you don't have to spend $1000+ monthly to have some really powerful features.
Having campaigns which will nurture leads and serve them content at the right time in life cycle is what should become standard for anyone serious about their business. And having all that on autopilot is HUGE!
So yeah, go team IF THEN ELSE!
So maybe 2017 is the year of affordable email automation, or the year of hyper-automation. No doubt we're still in the early days of making the most of triggered emails.
Customer Experience/The Email Experience.
Email is an integral part of digital customer journey. Customer experience must be at the centre of any email marketing strategies. Gartner predicts that by 2017, 89% of marketers expect customer experience to be their primary differentiator. Remember, click-throughs are people too.
Giving customers a cohesive omnichannel experience that includes email is definitely important, and challenging.
