So I have an internal client that wants to use a blue star as his bullet icon for his unordered lists. I know I can easily do this if I was hand-coding it, however we'll be using a CMS that spits out unordered lists in our email, so I'll have to target the list-style-image, right? When I mentioned that this would be the most ideal, as the unordered list would fall back to a regular bullet, he mentioned that using Wingdings as a bullet would work across most of the clients since it's a standard font that people have.

It sounds weird, but is that correct? What's the rate of success with you all using Wingdings for symbols in your email? I want to default to using images because even in my internal tests, not everyone sees the Wingdings symbols like the client says.
