Wrapping block level elements with hyperlinks?
With HTML5 it is possible to wrap block-level elements with
<a> tags, but I'm curious if anyone has experimented with the technique and tested it in various email clients?
I know it's a stretch but instead of having duplicate links for an image, headline, and "read more" it would be nice to just have one hyperlink wrapping the entire block so that it only registers one link in ESPs like CampaignMonitor.
Has anyone pulled this off successfully? If the bulletproof html buttons technique is possible with HTML/CSS, I wonder if it's possible to pull this off in a similar way using the transitional Doc-Type?
