Just wondering...

In general, why are email opens on Android devices so low when compared to Apple iPhone when recent stats show that market share of Android smartphones compared to iPhones are much higher?

Any theories?

e.g.

Smartphone Market Share (Nov 15)

Android = 53.1%
Apple = 43.1%

Email Client Opens (Jan 16)

Android = 10%
Apple = 33%
