What do you want to see in the Community in 2016?
So, it's officially 2016. Which means there's no better time than now to ask everyone what they want to see in the Litmus Community in the coming year. We have some plans for more resources to help people build better emails, among other things, but would love to hear if there's anything you're dying to see add to (or removed from) the Community.
Any specific resources or tools? Should we implement something differently? Any outstanding bugs that we're now aware of?
Let us know in this thread!
Hi Jason, something that I think might be worth exploring further is recommendations on exactly which email clients/devices render testing should be carried out on. There are a wide variety of devices and email clients available on Litmus and in an ideal world we would, of course, love to be able to test them all. However, when push comes to shove and we are up against it trying to get a campaign out if there are say 5-10 clients that are essential to test it would be great to have them listed out (according to the monthly market share of clients).
I have my main ones and I know the market share doesn't change a lot. However, every time there is a new iOS version, device release, software update, etc. it's good to know that it's still up-to-date and which ones are considered 'vital' not to forget checking?
Think that'll very much be down to what your customers are using. Keeping tabs on that will help you have your own essential list of email clients to test on. I know with our customer base, there's almost no correlation with general metrics, so I just keep tabs on if my current customer email clients stats changes.
Hi Jason,
We would personally like a few things:
uploading of pictures is bugged. It's more the rule than the exception that when you add a picture to a project the browser now opens the picture rather than adding it to the project. I know it hasn't always been like that.
The side bar. We would like better distinction between what is assets and what is an entire new mail in a given project. We feel it's not 100% intuitive and second nature to tell these two apart. Furthermore it would be nice if we could control the width of the sidebar as we often name pictures similar names and... like: hero_center_1.jpg, hero_center_2.jpg. With the current width of the sidebar it's a matter of trial and error to pick the right picture.
Hey Filip. Those are some good points about Litmus Builder. We actually have a public roadmap at https://trello.com/b/ekREy3ql/litmus-builder-roadmap where you can comment and vote on features and updates, which is usually the best way to bring up suggestions like this. If you're having specific problems that you think are bugs, feel free to email our support team at hello@litmus.com.
