Recently I've noticed a trend of 100% width CTAs on desktop "versions" of emails. Wherein the CTA is the full width of the email, sometimes bulletproof buttons and sometimes just the text being clickable. Most times the text on the CTA is much, much shorter than the actual CTA.

Personally, I like CTAs that fit the text that's on them. Maybe 10px either side of the text. For aesthetics. A raging big CTA looks a bit garish to me. But I can understand that just having the width of it be 100% if easier when it comes to having the email on smaller devices. Not to mention it stands out pretty damn well.

Definitely much more on the side of a well fitting CTA rather than an over sized 100% width one. Where do you stand?
