Litmus Analytics and Rendering Engines
My company has recently started using Litmus analytics much more heavily than in the past, so I have started to keep tabs on different values that I am seeing in the results.
One question I have come across is when looking at the Rending engines being used. For example, in one of our campaigns 58.7% of emails were opened using webkit, followed by 37.2% listed as "Other". Are we getting such high values as "Other" due to the way browser clients such as gmail and yahoo are rending and compiling the emails for the users? I feel like I have seen comments about this in various Litmus blog posts, but I wanted to check with the community to make sure I am on the right track. It is a very large number and if I can assume that it is those other clients combined together, it would help us make some choices on being more progressive with email design and implementation.
