Howdy folks!

For a talk I'm giving next month, I'm trying to get a sense of what digital marketers' educational backgrounds are these days. More and more, I'm meeting folks who didn't study marketing and had no formal training in it, but somehow landed up in the field and now love it—which I, personally, find exciting. Digital marketing is changing so much and so quickly that I think we're all learning as we go, as opposed to getting a lot of formal classroom training. So, I'm curious to see how common that actually is.

For example, I majored in theater. Never had any formal training in marketing, but just fell into it at one point and now I can't imagine doing anything else.

If you don't mind sharing, what is your educational/training background? If you have them, what fields are your undergrad or graduate degrees in?

Ultimately, I'll be reporting these numbers in the aggregate...no one's individual background will be reported anywhere. :)

Thanks for your help!
