Deliverability issues when sending using "Optimized by Time" feature.
Hey Community,
We recently ran a test of sending at a set time (8am) vs. a feature of our ESP called "Optimize Time of Day" which sends to the contact when s/he is most likely to open. The time optimized email landed in both my spam folder and that of my VP (of all people!) This might just be a fluke but I was wanting to know if anyone had done/read any research about optimized sending and its effect on deliverability?
thanks,
It sounds like sending to each person at an individual time could create an irregular send pattern that ESPs would flag as spam.
It's a great idea, but I guess the world isn't ready for it yet.
That's what I was thinking as well. I know this feature has been around for at least a year so it's possible that it was introduced, abused, then deemed flag-able by ISP's.
Or, this was just a fluke and only more testing will tell.
