But, but, BUTTONS!
I'm curious about what everyone thinks about buttons. More specifically, HTML buttons used in a single action email. I design a lot of emails with a single action; focused on very little link clutter or distractions. I've read some interesting articles about different styles that are more successful. For example, a recent article made the case for orange buttons. Another in Higher Education (written by someone at Georgetown I think?) stated that button shaped as "circles"performed best.
So what do you think? What has been your experience with HTML button styling? Anything stand out? We're running some A/B tests on button color next week, so I'll be happy to share a bit.
Couple things I'm interested in specifically:
- Corner radius
- Border; Bordersize; background/border contrast?
- Bold? Uppercase? Text Color contrast?
