My boss purchased Jason's book for me (thanks boss!). I recommend it to anyone looking step things up a bit within the confines of email... http://modernhtmlemail.com.

To piggy back, I do have to ask for some advice. People at my organization are becoming more and more interested in animation in emails... I've messed with it a bit, but they're convinced that using an animated GIF is "fine" since "most" of the email clients will render it. Hogwash, right? How do I combat this? I don't want to go crazy building complex stuff, especially since I'm not sure what server I'll have access to pull this off (they don't like scripts being uploaded in most cases).... Nor do I want a bunch of requests coming in for the same thing. Do something awesome once, and before you know it, everyone is breaking down your door-syndrome.

Thanks!
