Meaningful Metrics: Click Rate vs. Clicks Per Unique Opens
I'm curious whether anyone has a good explanation of why click rate is valued as a metric. I keep an eye on open rate because it indicates how healthy the list is, but Clicks Per Unique Opens is my other valuable metric.
With Click Rate, it seems odd to prioritize a number that is influenced by all of the unopened emails, since I'm assuming that they aren't getting clicked if they're not getting opened. Am I off-base?
