What fonts are you using the most?
For the majority of my emails I'm using VERDANA as the main body test font because I know it works and it's easy to read. Some people in the marketing teams say it's boring.

Arial is usually my go-to body font. Moving over to webfonts though for a new iteration of the company's website. The email has to follow suit, so that'll be proxima nova, which is a nice font for body and titles.
I struggle getting web fonts to work in my templates ... I'm going to have a play this weekend and figure out what I'm doing wrong.
My company fonts are Brandon and Minion pro so I use Avenir for Mac then fall back to Segoe UI for Windows then Helvetica, sans-serif. For minion I use times, serif .
I've been a fan of Calibri. It's one of the best looking system fonts for body text that's on most versions of Windows. After that, I usually just declare 'sans-serif' since Mac OS, iOS, and Android all have super-nice default fonts optimized for that platform.
Georgia is always a nice serif. Great x-height, classic italics.
Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif to be safe. I do like to use open-sans, but there are still those handful of pesky ESPs that don't support web fonts.
This is an awesome resource: http://www.cssfontstack.com. It gives some great web safe font-family combinations and breaks down percentages of rendering by OS.
Good stuff!
Times New Roman and Arial
