Feature request: Scheduled activation of tracking codes
Hello,
I would like to request an option to schedule the activation of Analytics tracking codes. When I add the code to an email that I'm scheduling for the future, every time I go back to that email to check something or make a change, it logs an open. To avoid having a ton of false opens, I have to add the tracking code as part of the final Send process. It would be great to be able to do at the beginning of the email creation process instead.
This would be most helpful if the tracking codes did not start tracking opens until they are actually activated. I usually have anywhere from 6 to 13 opens on an email before I even send it, just from going through the ExactTarget send process. I have even more false opens if I actually have to edit the email after putting in the tracking code. Since the Delete Responses feature is limited, it would be better if they just weren't tracking until a designated time.
Thanks,
Julia
Hey, Julia - Would you mind emailing our support team at hello@litmus.com with your feature request? We try to keep any Litmus-specific threads out of the Community to better focus on helping out people with marketing and design discussions. We'd love to hear your thoughts on feature requests, though, but the support email is a better venue for that. Thanks!
Will do! I posted it here to see if there would be any consensus among the community that this is a worthwhile feature. It might be good to have an area of the community dedicated to talking about Litmus so people can share knowledge and experience with each other, rather than only submitting support tickets.
Yep, we've thought the same and are discussing how best to do that internally. Until something is set up, it's a lot easier for us to track things through our support system.
