Should there be limitations to how long a link is within an email?
Hello Everyone,
I could use some help understanding if link length within an email should be restricted up to a certain limit? Links at my company are up to 370 characters in length and I'm getting concerned that some email clients may be truncating them, causing failures. Does anyone know this answer or even better, can you point me to documentation that gives more detail about this type of standard? Thank you!
Outlook 2000-2003 has trouble with long links, I'm not sure what the exact limit is, but it should be shorter than 500 characters to be safe.
When a email marketing platform track a link, it automatically rewrite it. Thus all link have nearly the same size.
