Last fall, we hosted the world’s first conferences dedicated solely to email design—and we’re looking forward to making this year’s Litmus Live bigger and better! We’re looking for passionate practitioners of email design to submit proposals for a 45-60 minute presentation individually, with a partner, or as a panel.

The first Email Design Conference in San Francisco was a big success! We heard lots of great feedback and suggestions about speakers, content, and even the food. A common thread we heard from many attendees was a desire to share what they were working on while getting feedback on how they could improve. To that end, we’re pleased to announce the addition of live email optimization sessions during TEDC London and Boston!

As a result of hosting Litmus Live sponsor-free, we have the opportunity to focus solely on content, not pitches. However, since we had numerous folks interested in sponsoring, along with plenty of potential attendees asking how they can get free or discounted tickets, so we opted for a not-so-traditional sponsorship opportunity. As part of this opportunity, Litmus Live supporters purchase tickets for freelancers, the budget-conscious or those with just very mean bosses. Postmark graciously offered to send six people to the conferences! They raffled away three tickets for the London event and three tickets for the Boston event.

While funding the event solely through ticket proceeds means we’ll have amazing, pitch-free content, it doesn’t leave much room for discounted tickets. We’ve heard from lots of people that want to attend the event, but simply cannot afford it. And, while we’d love to give discounts to everyone, it just isn’t plausible. Fortunately, due to some amazing, email-loving folks, we’ve had offers from TEDC supporters to purchase tickets for freelancers, the budget-conscious, or those with just very mean bosses. Postmark has generously offered to send six people to TEDC!

MailChimp graciously offered to send fifteen people to the conferences! They raffled away five tickets per city. The contest was a major success — we had nearly 150 entries! After combing through entries and tweets, we’ve chosen fifteen lucky winners.
When we started planning Litmus Live, we made it our goal to not be “just another email conference.” We wanted it to be the first event of its kind: an event focused on the experience of email—both creating it and receiving it. And, we wanted it to be amazing.
