Qualtrics Inspires With Thoughtful Content & Fun Imagery

“25 DAYS OF INSPIRATIONAL EMAILS” — DAY 15: QUALTRICS

It’s really nice when a company sends an email to their subscribers just saying “thanks,” or wishing them well, rather than always sending promotional & transactional emails. It’s especially nice when a company does that AND makes a donation on their customers behalf! How awesome is that? Between both of those benefits, and the sleek, fun imagery in this email from Qualtrics, I was majorly impressed.

THOUGHTFUL CONTENT WITH A TOUCH OF FUN

For starters, how thoughtful is this email? Qualtrics isn’t trying to promote a new product, or trying to get their subscribers to upgrade; instead, they’re simply wishing everyone a happy holiday season. It really stood out from all of the discount & sales emails in my inbox!

In addition, if you click on the link, you’re brought to a very fun (and busy!) landing page, full of animated GIFs. On the ribbon in the center, Qualtrics thanks their customers for their business in 2012 & wishes them the very best in 2013. They also declare that in an effort to celebrate their success together, Qualtrics has made a donation to the Huntsman Cancer Institute on their customers’ behalf. How nice is that?

The animated gifs on Qualtrics’ landing page are quirky and fun

By sending an email like this, Qualtrics shows their customers that they care. In addition, it shows that there are real people behind Qualtrics which helps to create a stronger customer/company relationship.

Another aspect of the content that I think is noteworthy is their play on the word “GIF.” I think it’s a cute touch that the main CTA is “To Open Your ‘GIF of Love”, Click Here.” So simple but makes the email a little fun!

SLEEK, FUN IMAGERY

How great is the imagery in this email? For starters, the image and message pop against the black background, which is a really nice touch. The photos of Qualtrics employees are fun and add some life to the email, while the red ribbon ties in the holiday theme. In addition, I love that the image looks like it’s a video due to the play button on top.

And how about that bulletproof button? It’s great that it is displayed regardless of whether images are enabled or not.

Bulletproof buttons stand out even when images are disabled
The dark background still enables the email to pop & the CTA is still present when images are disabled. How great is that?
