We’re thrilled for you to meet the newest member of our team—Bert!
INTRODUCING BERT, SENIOR DEVELOPER
Introduced to programming by learning BASIC on an Apple IIe when he was 6, Bert has been coding ever since. He ran a bulletin board system (BBS) in his hometown of Raleigh, NC in the 90s and over the years he has written software for everything from digital cameras to large cloud server deployments. His passion lies in making software that is reliable and fast—one of the (many!) reasons we’re thrilled to have him join the infrastructure team, alongside Brendan, Ed, Dave, Brian, and Carlos.
Bert lives in NH with his wife and two children. When he isn’t busy programming, he enjoys playing the drums (and—to a much lesser extent—the guitar), watching hockey and motorcycle racing, and cheering on the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes. He also can make an impressive balloon animal and recite all of the lines from the first six seasons of The Simpsons.
