That’s right. After an extended hiatus from The Email Design Podcast, we’re back with a new podcast called Delivering.

What is Delivering?

Delivering is a podcast that moves beyond just industry news for designers and developers and looks at the email industry as a whole, from strategy and copywriting to design, development, tooling, trends, culture, and more. Through industry analysis, in-depth interviews, and conversations with those shaping the email industry, Delivering illuminates an evolving and thriving community for email professionals and how email impacts not only business, but the world.

Episode 1: Welcome to Delivering

Hi, I’m Jason Rodriguez, and welcome to Delivering, a new podcast from Litmus.

Some of you might know me from our older podcast called The Email Design Podcast. A few years ago, my cohost—Kevin Mandeville—and I started a simple show where we looked at the latest in email design and development. Over the course of 98 episodes, we talked through all kinds of topics and industry news, but always through the lens of the more technical bits of email—the code and design that powers it.

It made sense, since that’s where we were both coming from.

But a lot has changed since we first started The Email Design Podcast back in 2014. The email world has evolved into a more mature industry. It’s no longer a few dedicated developers, copywriters, and marketers working in obscurity to grow their businesses.

Email marketing is itself huge business.

Our own State of Email research has shown that email routinely drives an average return on investment of 42:1. Industry mergers and acquisitions have accounted for over 18 billion dollars spent since 2012, over 8 billion of that in the last year.

All of this means that email professionals are working with more people, in a more connected way, than ever. We’re responsible for more than just design and development, strategy and copywriting, or deploying and ensuring deliverability.
