New: Email Testing for Android 4.0 (Plus an Upgrade!)
We’re very excited to announce the introduction of a new mobile operating system to our email testing suite: Android 4.0.

When we first added Android testing over a year ago, version 2.2 (Froyo) was the most popular operating system installed on Android devices. Today, the most popular OS is version 2.3 (Gingerbread), with version 4.0 quickly gaining steam:
| Version | Codename | Distribution |
|---|---|---|
| 1.x | Cupcake/Donut | 0.2% |
| 2.1 | Eclair | 4.7% |
| 2.2 | Froyo | 17.3% |
| 2.3.x | Gingerbread | 64% |
| 3.x | Honeycomb | 2.4% |
| 4.x | Ice Cream Sandwich | 10.9% |

Version 2.2 upgraded to 2.3
In addition to offering Android 4.0 for email testing, we’ve also upgraded our machines running version 2.2 to test in version 2.3. We’re displaying Android version 4.0 with a Galaxy Nexus device, and version 2.3 with the HTC Wildfire.
